RSS Feed (xml)Finally we are now in 2 weeks waiting for my green card to arrive. After 2 years processed we will rest for another 2 years and then proceed to another paperworks again. We chose to apply for a K1 visa (fiance) because we believe that this is faster than k3 (spouse). We considered the process here in the US at least we are together unlike if we are apart there is too much aggravation to face. The hardest part of course is the wait time until being reunited.
Next steps after I received the GC is to apply for my state ID, report our marriage to the Philippine Consulate in DC, renew my passport into my married last name and get a learner's permit if ever I decide to take driving lessons. At least we are no longer worried about me not able to travel outside the US once the GC is on my hand.
